I am not quite understanding what your issue is - let me ask some clarifying questions.
Does product A and Product B both have their own product page? Or is product B and option selection to be added to product A? Is almost sounds like you have something misconfigured, but again I am not sure I understand correctly.

This option is designed to solve an inventory issue for products that have specific interactions - so customers select the items that work together. So each product is a unique item, and the main product gives the link to the correct additional product which can be purchased. Eg, product A is a baby carriage, and product B is a sun shield for that specific carriage. Product A displays a Tab labeled accessories and Product B (sun shield) is listed there - customer can go to that page (shown in a popup) to decide to buy now, or they can purchase it at a future time using Product A to get the correct model.

I looked at your page, I believe you have chosen the wrong options type for what you want to do. Please send me a screen shot of your product options page to the above email address and I will try and get you on the right path.

BTW - this extension - Product as option is not a solution for the types of options you have on that product page.

That is not a function of this extension. This is intended to add additional accessories that work with a specific product as a way to up sell your customer, to insure they get an additional product that works with the base product, and also a better way to track your inventory stock.

A good example is a baby carriages , you sell Model 101 and Model 201 and also sun roofs, and extra carry bags but you need to let your customer know that sun roof A fits only Model 101, if you add sun roof Model as an Accessory item on product Model 101, you have assisted your customer to get the correct sun roof and perhaps also make there overall purchase larger.

Regular options - like size, color, etc have the ability to be required when adding the options to the product in the options tab, Here is more info on how Product Options are designed to work

I believe you are asking if product b is shown indented under product a and the pricing is one fee - as with regular options. This extension does not do that.

This extension is designed to add optional products suggestions that are known to work for the main product
eg a baby carriage is the main product and you sell several varieties that have additional items that can be added but each carriage needs a different style. You sell the additional item as a standalone also.
So the main product - has accessories tab - and you add the correct items for carriage (displays like the related items core tab) but when customer clicks on an item in accessories tab the product is a popup leaving the customer on the original page for more accessories purchasing.

On the checkout page each item is listed as an original item with its own pricing . the items do show up in the order as purchased. And stock for each accessory item can be tracked .

Not in it's current form. But that's a good idea - let me see how we could best accomplish that. It may takes us a few days to get to this, but will post again when we have a plan.

Does this template work with Abantecart 1.2.11 or 1.2.12?

Also, please confirm that each product is it's own page, but if 3 products go together the other 2 products could be added to the 3rd Product as Options for adding to the cart (i.e., Cleansers, Toners and Moisturizers can be purchased separately but the Toners and Moisturizers could be added to the Cleanser page as Product Options or any of the other combinations, correct?) Please look at the manual , there are some screen shots there of how it works. The additional tabs for the suggested products are Not exactly options, but the suggestion while on the product page that this accessory or devices or additional product in the line works with the product displayed on the page.

It then allows customer to look at the additional product that goes with the product they are visiting and purchase additional correct items that work together. You can add the normal options to each of the products - like size, color, etc and the track of all the products is maintained.

An example you have cleaners, toners and moisturizers that are make to work together , Each is offered separately and in different sizes. On EACH of your product pages you would add a tab title something like Products that go with this. On Cleansers you would add the toner and the moisturizer, on Toner you would add the cleanser and moisturizer etc. So your customer gets the products that are intended to work well with each other and you get additional sales.

That is exactly what I would like to do on the page. Then I have products with different shades that I have added with the options section. However, if I want to add certain makeup like lipsticks to go with blush or eye shadow, I would use both the options section for the shades but the Product as Options template to add other products. I hope this is correct.

yes you understand correctly. If you would like me to make you a demo testing site, just ask me
here and I will do that . It will be a 1.2.12 version of the default cart on one of my servers, but it will be only for your testing purposes so you can test in case you have other extensions (not from WHY2) to be sure they work together.

I will try to add the template next week. Our page is still on 1.2.11, so hopefully it will work on that version until we can upgrade it. It seems pretty self explanatory so if we need help, could we contact you next week or the week after? Thank you! Lisa
